How do you measure up? Fabiola Torres, the community engagement coordinator at the Richardson Bay Audubon Center & Sanctuary, recently painted a wondefful mural at the center that allows visitors to compare their wingspans with those of variety of birds. Torres is pulling together plans for additional murals at the center in the coming months.
Audubon California Policy Director Mike Lynes joined a recent press conference in Sacramento calling for greater investments from the state budget for natural resources, particularly from the state's Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. The event was led by Assembly Member Eduardo Garcia, and a number of other conservation organizations also took part.
Audubon California recently joined local water leaders and NGOs to tour the Salton Sea and view the crisis there up close. This great clip from NBC Palm Springs covers the day.
